Gettin' Our 100 Million Steps On

So we kicked off the We Walk the Tworld Challenge yesterday and it's already an eventful adventure. By Noon my pedometer was broken into three or four pieces. But I rigged it up and by the end of the day my family was able to collect over 35,000 steps. We went to a baseball game, which gave us lots of walking opportunities.

What's more exciting is hearing all of your stories! We have over 100 people signed up already and many of them are participating in groups, which is even better. We've got:
  • People taking steps with co-workers and friends
  • Tweeps walking with their weight loss groups
  • Moms and dads exercising with their kids (this one is our fav)

We want to hear from you!
Let us know how the challenge is going. You can post your comments, pictures and videos on our Facebook page.

Some of you have shared great stories with us about how fitness has changed your lives and for us that's the best part of this challenge. We want to highlight your stories in future blog posts, so feel free to contact us at information@fitfactorkids.com if you want to share.

Feeling shy about sharing your step counts?
There are tons of ways around that! You don't have to send in your step count every day. You can collect them for a few days and then send them to us. Believe me when I say our "system" isn't sophisticated enough to know how often you submit. ;-) Or you can collect numbers for your group and send us the total.

Help us spread the word
100,000,000 steps is quite a goal and the only way we can make it there is with all of your help. Please help us get the word about by posting this challenge on your Twitter and/or Facebook feeds. Here's a suggestion to make it even easier.

How it works
For the month of May, we're asking you to record your step counts and send them to us. You can send them daily, weekly, whenever it works for you. And for the record running and exercising on an elliptical machine count too. If you capture it on a pedometer, that's good enough for us. Just send your counts to us:
